APPLICATIONS

Areas having extra large or extremely hazardous conditions where extended range is a requirement and limited personnel are available. Use indoors or outdoors in locations such as petroleum processing plants, storage facilities, manufacturing plants or airport and marine hazardous areas where dry chemical is the appropriate extinguishing media.

FEATURES:

  • DOT approved cylinders with chrome plated brass valve assemblies. Cylinders are manufactured to DOT specification 4BW240. Valves are designed and manufactured to Buckeye's rigid standard of quality.
  • Highly visible pressure-indicating gauge.
  • Cylinders and carriages are shot blasted, primed and coated with the finest polyurethane powder paint finish that exceeds Underwriter's Laboratories 240 hour salt spray requirements.
  • All booster hoses are 1/2 in. diameter and 25 feet long.
  • All component parts are replaceable.
  • Tow loops are available upon request. Tow loops allow for low speed (15 MPH) towing over gravel or paved surfaces.
  • All units are equipped with all weather semipneumatic 12.3 inch diameter, 3.5 inch wide tires that allows for easy moveability through narrow doors and walkways by a single operator.

MODEL A-50SP

PERFORMANCE:

  • Provide a smooth uninterrupted flow for extinguishing agent upon actuation of the cylinder valve. There is no time delay because the unit is pressurized to 240 PSI (1656 kPa) in a ready state for immediate discharge The pressure of the unit allows for extended horizontal reach. A sufficient amount of pressure is also available to clear out the hose after discharge.
  • The discharge hose and nozzle assemble has a built in swivel that eliminates potential hose kinking.
  • Should all chemical not be used simply turn unit upside down, blow down pressure and reuse balance of chemical in cylinder when recharging.

AGENT CHOICE:

  • The model 50 SP units are filled wit 50 lbs. of ABC (Ammonium Phosphate) or PK (Potassium Bicarbonate) dry chemical. Caution - Do Not Mix Chemicals.

SERVICING:

  • These units are to be installed, serviced and maintained in accordance with NFPA-10 and the Buckeye service manual supplied with the unit P/N 133910.
